Chantal Michelle

Chantal Michelle is a composer and artist whose practice centers on the transformative properties of sound and its potential to dissolve the confines of physical presence. Through the architectural manipulation of sound, she constructs densely textured electroacoustic works that disorient and immerse, inviting alternate forms of perception. Her work has been realized as site-specific installations, multichannel compositions, ensemble performances, and recorded material. It has been presented internationally at institutions including Fridman Gallery and Cafe OTO, released on labels including SUPERPANG and Dinzu Artefacts, and featured in publications such as The Wire and The Guardian. She is a Master of Fine Arts candidate at Bard College, Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts [US].
