Zayaan Khan is a storyteller intrigued by the local urban and ecological environments and their interchangeable relationships. Through curiosity, research, experimentation and engagement, her work finds a resting place in the nexus of land, seed and food as a means of understanding the world, particularly through our collective heritage. She is influenced by traditions, both inherited and the creation of new ones through a progressive interpretation in order to enact a listening of the future and a steady present survivalism.
